Since its inception, ENTRAJUDA has pursued three main goals:

• Advice non-profit institutions in management practices in order to improve their efficiency and effectiveness
• Build a bridge between donors and disadvantaged groups allowing the creation of a true chain of solidarity in which each individual is an essential link
• Enable and simplify the participation of people and companies, mobilising volunteers, partners, and beneficiaries that feel the call to co-operate on a voluntary basis with their good-will, work, and expertise and talent

Currently, Entrajuda core business continues to be capacity-building, but during the last years, this non-profit organisation has evolved and nowadays has seven core programmes supporting over 3000 Portuguese non-profit organisations and indirectly approximately 180.000 individuals.

The Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council was founded in 1973, when there was a need for:

• coordination amongst the voluntary organizations,
• development of policy for the voluntary sector,
• social policy consultation with the voluntary sector and cooperation with governmental authorities.

Recognizing the vital role of the Council, the State decided to provide a legal framework [the Pancyprian Welfare Council Law (152/89)] for its operation. In 2001 it was recognized that there was a need to further upgrade the legal framework of the Council in order to respond to its role and mission more effectively.

In 2006, the House of Representatives passed a new legislation that governs “the establishment and function of the Pan Cyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council” (PVCC), which represents the continuation of the Pan Cyprian Welfare Council (PWC). Under the new legislation the Council has a new operational framework, new responsibilities and a broader role for the coordination and development of the voluntary sector and volunteerism in general.

Civil Society Development Foundation is a nongovernmental, independent, non-profit organization founded in 1994, with support from the European Commission.

CSDF supports the development of civil society organizations; it is actively involved at both national and European level in the public dialogue between civil society and authorities, and between national and international organizations.

Based on the diverse development needs in the Romanian non-profit sector, CSDF took on from the very beginning, in 1994, a variety of roles as a civil society hub, including the following activities:

• national resource center,

de Verenigde Verenigingen aims to contribute to the deepening and a broadening of democracy by clarifying the social, democratic, and political functions of civil society, encourage the development of effective civil society organisations and enforce when necessary rules and regulations to support civil society organisations achieving their missions.

de Verenigde Verenigingen is a partnership or network of civil society organisations in Flanders and Brussels. The network includes lots of associations in Flanders and Brussels, but mainly works trough several sectoral umbrella organizations. These include all sectors of civil society: social movement, socio-cultural, hobby-arts, environmental, poverty, health & family, trade-unions, ethnic-cultural minorities, sports and youth. The network has a professional staff of 2 persons, based in Brussels.

The Northern Northern Irish Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA), represents and promotes the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland and provides support and leadership to it.

The Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) is the voice of the voluntary sector in Wales. WCVA represents and campaigns for voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities.

WCVA provides specific advice, guidance and support to the voluntary sector on all aspects of European funding, policy and information.

The World of NGOs is the support organisation for civil society organisations in Austria. It has considerable experience of EU policy and project management and occupies a pivotal role in providing collective skills for organisations in Austria.

The Wheel is a support and representative body for community, voluntary and charitable organisations across Ireland. Established in 1999, The Wheel has evolved to become a resource centre and forum for the community and voluntary sector.

Nevyriausybinių organizacijų informacijos ir paramos centras (NISC) is the Lithuanian NGO Information & Support Center.

NISC provides support and information to NGOs in Lithuania; it is engaged in advocacy, policy development and capacity-building.

The Ogolnopolska Federacja Organizacji Pozarzadowych (OFOP), is the Polish federation of NGOs, it provides voice and support for a very broad range of organisations across Poland and coordinates EU projects for Polish NGOs.

Türkiye Üçüncü Sektör Vakfı (TUSEV) is the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey, established in 1993 by Turkey's leading CSOs, and has now grown to a supporting network of over 100 associations and foundations that share a vision of strengthening the legal, fiscal and operational infrastructure of the third (non-profit) sector in Turkey.

Over the past fifteen years, Turkey's third sector has taken on a heightened momentum of growth and expansion and civil society organizations have taken on a new role as a critical element in an emerging democratic society. The number of CSOs being formed continues to grow and they operate at increasing sophistication. With this growth comes a need for more support- more funding, better management skills, and most importantly, a more enabling environment.

Plataforma de ONGs de Accion Social (NGO Social Action Platform) is a private, non-denominational, nationwide non-profit organisation that works towards promoting the total development of social and civil rights of the most vulnerable groups and to strengthen the Third/ Social Sector.

Founded on the 18th May 2000, it originally consisted of sixteen NGOs and non-profit organisations. The Platform has gradually increased its social basis with the incorporation of new members. Nowadays it consists of over 25 Non-governmental organisations, federations and state networks bringing together thousands of other local, provincial and state entities.

The Vabaühenduste liit EMSL stands for the Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations (NENO). It is the single and largest Estonian organisation uniting public benefit nonprofit organisations.

Established in 1991 as the Estonian Foundation Center, NENO opened its membership to associations in 1994 and has since transformed from a mere service provider into one of Estonia's most influential civic initiative organisations.

The Nonprofit Információs és Oktató Központ (NIOK) Alapítvány is a Hungarian foundation. The mission of the Nonprofit Information and Training Centre Foundation is to strengthen civil society in Hungary by providing capacity building services to the non-governmental organizations and by building an environment supportive of the long-term future of NGOs.

Frivillighet Norge is the Association of NGOs of Norway, an umbrella for the voluntary sector in Norway, founded in September 2005. The mission of the Association is to coordinate the voluntary sector's dialogue with the authorities on issues that are common to the voluntary sector, and to voice the voluntary sector's opinions to the public and the authorities.

Another important task is to produce information and give advice to the member organizations. \r\n\r\nthe Association of NGOs in Norway consists of more than 235 member organizations, including all sectors of organised civil society.

The Zavod Center za informiranje, sodelovanje in razvoj nevladnih organizacij or Centre for Information Service, Co-operation and Development of NGOs (CNVOS) was established in early 2001 as an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organisation.

The aim of CNVOS isto empower NGOs in Slovenia, promote their role as an important part of civil society, and ensure the realisation of their objectives.

Since its establishment, over 200 organisations have joined CNVOS. The Centre thus welcomes all NGOs interested in active cooperation, creative implementation and effective realisation of the CNVOS objectives to join its network.

The Bundesnetzwerk Burgerschaftliches Engagement (BBE), is a nationwide network linking organisations and associations from the third sector (non-profit organizations) and civil society, from business and work life and federal and community institutions.

The cooperation within the network is based on mutual trust and partnership, relying primarily on dialogue, cooperation and practical stimuli for the promotion of commitment and civic involvement.

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), is a registered charity which gives voice and support to civil society in England.

Founded in 1919, we are the largest umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in England with sister councils in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), is the body representing the voluntary sector in Scotland.

There are 45,000 voluntary organisations in Scotland involving around 130,000 paid staff and approximately 1.3 million volunteers.

The sector manages an income of £4.1 billion.

SCVO seeks to advance the values and shared interests of the voluntary sector.

The Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) Is an independent, non-governmental organization, founded in November 1999. It works to strengthen the Albanian civil society, to monitor, analyze and facilitate the Euro-Atlantic integration processes of the country.

The Asociace veřejně prospěšných organizací (AVPO) stands for the Association of Public Benefit Organisations, founded in 2010 it is now composed of over 50 organisations from across the social, environment, culture, education, human rights, and leisure sectors. Its mission is to completely support the development of transparent public benefit organizations in the Czech Republic

The National Federation of NGOs of Malta was officially founded in April 2007.

The mission of the Federation is to represent the interests of NGOs operating in Malta, and to strengthen the role of NGOs within civil society.
